About hikari3.ch

hikari3.ch is an imageboard I founded in May 2023, and I still reign as the current administrator.

I didn't really make the site for much reason. I was just kind of curious what it would be like to host my own imageboard and thought it would be fun.

Brief History: I had been browsing Heyuri for a bit since mid 2022. Rule 8, and the site's culture was one of the main inspirations behind hikari3. The "comfy atmosphere" was inspired by wapchan. I started working on it late April 2023, and put together a crappily done front-end made from Aleph (8chan.moe's front-end). I asked my friend (MEMEow) for some art of our mascot (Hikari-chan) and then asked my friend to make an email for kaguya (Heyuri's admin) asking if I could link the site. (I wasn't sure how to make a good email for this).

Turns out I was supposed to ask on their /q/ board but either-way, it'd probably be better to just post about it on /b/ instead since linking new sites isn't common.

I posted about it on May 20/21 2023 and that was one of the only times I advertised it myself
